News From Foster Family:
Skylar is a well-mannered boy.  He is not over active, but still likes to play especially with a tennis ball.  Skylar loves to be petted and hang out with his people.  He walks very nicely on the leash and is housebroken.  He adjusted quickly to his new foster family including his 4-legged foster siblings.

Skylar is crate trained, current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

 

My Ideal Companions:  
Loving humans that want to snuggle and spend quality time with him. 

 

 

My Perfect Home:  
Skylar would do well in a medium activity home.   He likes to go for walks and would like a doggie friend to play with.  Since Skylar is a little overweight, daily walks would be ideal.

Sklyar would also be a candidate as a therapy dog.

 

Rescue History: 
 Skylar  came to us from a Tucson shelter.   Arrangements had been made to pick him up, and a mix-up sent him to be PTS before we arrived at the shelter.  Needless to say we were very sad and upset to learn of his fate.  Then Skylar's guardian angel stepped in and our foster home received a phone call  from the shelter letting us know that Skylar had not yet been PTS, but was instead in the Euthanasia room and had already received his initial sedative....but not yet the lethal injection.  Could we get there right away?  Of course foster mom Lisa immediately left and came back with a sleepy boy.

Skylar was one lucky dog and obviously has a mission still to do in his life....
